Here to help you heal yourself.
I was trained at Advanced Massage Therapeutics in Louisville, Kentucky, receiving my state licensure in massage therapy in 2011. My foundational studies included Injury Assessment and Treatment, Anatomy and Physiology, Pain Management, Kinesiology, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish massage, and Deep Tissue techniques with a focus on myofascial work. Since graduating I have completed the required coursework in the Usui program to become a Reiki Master, and obtained my Thai Massage certification in 2024. Through classes in meditation, Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Thai Massage, Yoga, and reflexology, I have developed my view of the person as an integrated whole and belief in our innate ability to reach our own versions of harmony. "We are a compilation of mind, body, and spirit, and all of these need to be addressed for us to feel healthy and function as our best self."
Katie has a deep interest in environmental improvement and sustainability that extends into her business practices. Her passion for natural living and understanding what the body can do on its own have guided her on her path to using the least invasive most natural methods possible first when working with clients believing that you can always work up the ladder to more invasive methods as needed. She loves to share what she has learned so far with anyone willing to listen, and practices non judgment for all.
“My name is Katie Morris. I am a licensed massage therapist. My goal is to promote health and wellness through massage. Many people see massage as a luxury-which isn't exactly correct. Massage helps keep your body and mind in balance assisting you in functioning to the best of your ability. People who receive regular massage experience benefits like increased circulation, better immune system function (getting sick less often), reduced or eliminated aches and pains, fewer injuries, improved sleep, reduced stress (physically and mentally), and, in general, feel healthier and more at-home in their bodies. Athletes who receive regular massage also experience these benefits, with the added bonuses of shorter recovery times after events and increased performance. Regular massage is a lifestyle choice similar to that of choosing to go to the gym regularly, seeing a chiropractor, or switching to a diet that works for you.”
